Calvary Celebrates 25th Anniversary of
Men’s Fellowship Breakfast
Calvary honored former Pastor Jim Brun on
Saturday, January 23, at a regular meeting
of the Men’s Fellowship Breakfast. Pastor
Brun began the group at Calvary twenty-five
years ago and was invited to bring the
spiritual message on the 23rd. Using the
lectionary text for January 24, I Corinthians
12, Pastor Brun reminded those attending of
the many gifts given to the body of Christ, the
church, for the purpose of building up the body as each individual member grows into the likeness of Christ, who is our head.
The pancake breakfast was perfectly prepared and served by Roger Hall, Al Armand, Roy Hansen, George Pickich, and Don Parrish.
Terry Bauer acted as MC, welcoming the women and men attending from nearby churches. Also at the event were Pastor Karen Woida, Calvary; Pastor Duane Woida, Chaplain at Salem Lutheran Home in Oakland; Pastor Mike O’Berg, Messiah Lutheran Church, Redwood City, and Pastor Tom Nibbe of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Pacifica.
Next Men’s Fellowship Breakfast is scheduled for Saturday, March 27, 2010, at 8:00 AM, so mark your calendars!
